Some people may look at this as just another emotional disturbance that will go away eventually on its own, which is wrong. Experts are still unsure of what exactly causes ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD. However,  genes are believed to imply an important role along with other environmental issues. Medication:

ADD: Attention Deficit Disorder Symptoms and Medication 3 :

1: Nourish your brain and body:

This is one of the most important things because you could be having an item and deficiency or you could have an allergy to some sort of food or an intolerance or something that could be really wearing you down. Furthermore, this makes you feel really weak and tired, so it’s really important to kind of look into yourself and get a DNA test. Go to your doctor so you can get a 23me DNA test and upload  two anabolic genes that get a full breakdown of any kind of vitamin deficiency you may have.

So, it’s really important to eat clean. Have organic food, moreover,  get a lot of vitamins. Don’t combine heavy proteins for carbs. I know some people can shove a ton of food in their mouths and feel great, but for me, when I food combine, heavy proteins with carbohydrates, I feel exhausted and sick for hours. I just feel like lying down on the couch and doing nothing.

Drink a lot of water. As well as sleep, get at least eight to nine hours a night and try to wake up before nine o’clock. Studies have shown that people function just so much better if they get a full night’s sleep and then wake up when the sun’s up, so that doesn’t have to mean wake up when the sun rises. It just means wake up at an early time so you could build up some really great energy and the earlier you wake up before your work, the more energy you’ll have getting toward.

Another thing that I learned over the years that’s a really good tip is try to have caffeine when you’ve already woken up. I know it sounds crazy to some people because a lot of people drink coffee and caffeinated drinks to wake up. Now getting too scientific, you drink coffee, you put your tired on holes in a little box, and when your coffee wears off,  that stimulant wears off. It releases all that tiredness again and then you get that exhausted feeling and you need another cup of coffee to wake you up again.

If you could pass through that tired feeling,  get energized naturally. Just drink some water, have a smoothie, or something. Then if you’re already lit up and have woken up by the time you get to work, then have a little bit of caffeine and you’ll feel on fire, I promise you. If you could throw on a workout in the morning you’ll feel even better. Working out releases dopamine and other endorphins. Working out makes you feel good about yourself . Furthermore, it makes you feel rewarded.

2: No negative self-talk:

When I was overcoming my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), I had so much negative self-talk. There were so many times I said to myself that I have a mental illness. I have a chemical imbalance or I have a deficiency. I have taught all the stuff.  I said that to myself all the time. I said that I can’t function in meetings. I can’t do public speaking.  I can’t do sales or  I can’t write emails.  I can’t write blogs and I can’t do anything.

ADD: ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER SYMPTOMS AND MEDICATION

I basically cannot function without my medication. I used to tell myself that all the time and I heard that in my head  all day, until I just had enough of that and I was like, ” I’m done with this, I don’t want to feel this way anymore. I just want to be me and be comfortable with who I am and figure out how to just get through all these things and if I’m not perfect, if I’m not the best public speaker, or not the best salesperson, it’s okay. I can do things that I love amazingly.”

That’s where I go when I let go of the negative self-talk. I started to become better at the things that I thought I sucked at before. I became a better public speaker, a better writer, and  a better blogger.

Basically, I became a better functioning person in general. I didn’t realize just how much that negative energy was clouding my mind. So, it’s really important to get that out of there. I know a lot of us don’t want to give that up because it gives a sense of identity. It helps us find a way to categorize ourselves with other people. If we can say that we have attention deficit disorder, it helps us kind of feel like we relate to other people and that there’s something to explain the kind of behavior we’re having in symptoms, but I personally choose to get rid of those labels and just be me.

I’m different than everybody else. Not everybody has the same symptoms as me. We’re not all the same. So, I’m not going to put myself in a class or category. I am who I am, that’s it.

3: Get structured:

Structure is such an important thing in everybody’s life, but for a person with a ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD, it could be the make or break it. If we’re not structured, we are all over the place. If I wake up one day and I have no structure, I wake up late or I don’t listen to my rule of waking up at nine o’clock. I wake up at like 10 or 11. I eat chocolate for breakfast. Who knows what I’m looking up online  or I’m posting all over Facebook. I’m tweeting. I’m reading articles or I’m getting angry. I’m getting into Facebook fights. I could just be all over the place all day and all of a sudden I’ll sit back and I’ll say, “Did I actually get anything done today?”

Even though those things may have seemed productive and seemed important at the time, they weren’t all that important in terms of my health, my mind, my financial situation, or my body. If I spent all my time just talking on Facebook, arguing on Facebook, or sharing political posts and stuff like that,

ADD: ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER SYMPTOMS AND MEDICATION

I’m not nurturing and nourishing those relationships that are really important that I need to pay attention to and stuff too. So it’s important to not get sidetracked when you wake up in the morning. What I suggest doing every day, when you wake up in the morning, I want you to take all the thoughts you have of all the things that have been in your mind last night when you’re trying to go to sleep.

All the things you woke up thinking of or all the things that you may think down the line, put them all on a piece of paper. Every single thing you could possibly do or need to do or want to do.

Doing your laundry cleaning, the dishes, planning a trip, buying a brand new car, kind of idea that you could ever possibly have. I want you to write it down and then I want you to kind of take a look and say, “Well, which things do I have to do today? Which things can I save for tomorrow?” You can always keep all these ideas together for tomorrow.

So when you look back at the schedule, you can decide tomorrow’s schedule. Maybe I want to add this painting in there or maybe I want to do early Christmas shopping and you put that in there just now. Look at that now. We take this one schedule for today and we start with the easiest things that can be knocked out, because if you start with the toughest things, you might not get it done and then you’ll feel already bad. And you’ll just forget your schedule and go off on a tangent. So, you want to get the easiest things done first.

Reward your brain:

Your brain has something called a reward system and when you do things that you hold yourself accountable for, your brain releases dopamine whenever it feels rewarded. When you take Adderall or any of the other prescription medications, it charges up your reward system. It makes you feel rewarded all day long for doing nothing, which is why we can concentrate so easily.

When we take that medication, but naturally we could reward ourselves by getting things done, even little things that are on our to-do list. When you check it off, your brain feels a little bit more rewarded and you release a little bit of dopamine. So, over the course of a day, if you do all the things that are on your to-do list and you knock them out, You’ve released tons and tons of dopamine to your brain. You’ll actually function by the time you get to the difficult tasks, like doing term papers, working, and getting things done project wise.

ADD: ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER SYMPTOMS AND MEDICATION

You’ll actually have so much dopamine that you’ll feel like you did if you were taking a prescription medication. So, keep that in mind whenever you start your day. Get the to-do list together and make sure you start with the easy stuff. It’s actually very healthy for your brain to do that.

ADD: Attention Deficit Disorder Symptoms and Medication :

Do what you love:

It might sound like the silliest simplest and the least important step, but is one of the most important things dealing with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) is medication, because if you don’t do what you love, you don’t love what you do.

You will be really miserable and it’ll be really difficult for you to learn without taking medications to force it, especially if you have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD. When I was studying things in school that I didn’t like, I felt like almost running away from my textbook and doing everything else, but  there were other things that I can learn like a breeze. I taught myself all of the Adobe suite programs individually within a week of each other.

ADD: ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER SYMPTOMS AND MEDICATION

I taught myself InDesign because I had to learn how to do it. I wanted to create documents like brochures, pamphlets, flyers, magazines, posters, and billboards.

I wanted to learn. So, I learned everything I needed to learn in under a week. Then I wanted to learn how to use Illustrated because I wanted to create vector graphics for t-shirts and videos and stuff like that and because I learned that in about a week, I was able to offer that service to clients.

Then I want to learn how to do motion graphic videos. Like text videos, people would put on their websites back in about 2009. That kind of explained how their business works. I just want to do that because people were also making $500 an hour and these videos were really powerful and awesome.

So, within a week or two, I taught myself how to use Adobe After Effects. I was very passionate to learn how to do those things, because I loved doing them. I had a certain understanding of how much I can make  doing them and how much freedom I’d get with that income as well.

If you love the goal and you love what your life is going to be like in that career, the most important thing you could do is just constantly remind yourself of what your ‘why’ is. I definitely suggest shadowing somebody that you would maybe want to be like one day.

So, if you’re trying to be a doctor and there’s an amazing doctor who speaks at events and the doctor is the one that everybody loves and respects, maybe shadow that person for a day or over a couple of days. See what they’re doing and really build up your ‘why’. Why you’re putting yourself through all the schoolwork, testing, reports, essays, and stuff like that.

Just give yourself more of a ‘why’ and then every single time you’re trying to do your studying or you’re trying to do a test and your brain wants to shut down, just constantly remind yourself of that ‘why’. Why you’re going through this and it’ll help you get through it in the long run.
