How to Live in the Present Moment. Successful Tips
This article is about becoming present in the present moment of now, or live in the present moment. I’m going to give you the really simple breakdown on how to live in the present moment in less than 10 seconds.
Why are so many people not living in the present moment ? Well, it’s because they’re thinking of the future. What’s going to happen in the future? Am I going to get this promotion? Is this girl going to like me on this date? What’s going to happen?
They’re thinking about a year from now, two years from now, ten years from now, or tomorrow and if they’re not thinking about the future then, they’re also thinking about the past.
They think about, “How was my breakup?” They wonder about how they can get over some trauma, maybe a car accident, a rejection, and negative events or things that are not going well. The problem with that is when you’re not present in the moment of now or you are not living in the present moment, your brain gets cut off your frontal cortex.
You can’t live in the present moment with what’s going on. Your empathy dissipates and you can’t focus on what’s going on in front of you. Let’s say you have this big business meeting and you can’t focus on anything going on. You can’t give the speech that you’re supposed to give. You can’t talk to your business mates. Your brain gets completely cut off.
What we want to do right now is to bring you into the present moment. I’m going to give you this one big tip that takes five minutes to do. Each part of this takes a minute and you’re going to focus on each five of your senses.

Let’s start with seeing. What do I see right now? You’re going to spend a minute on what you can see right now. Just that alone!
Focus on what you can see for yourself. Like, you see the laptop in front of you and the room you’re in.
Focus on the shirt you’re wearing, your hands in front of you, and all things that you can see, just focus on that for a minute. Enjoy it and relax.

The next thing that we’re going to do is focus on what we can hear. So, you can hear a voice in your room. You can hear the computer in the background or maybe you can hear any voice from outside. You might be able to hear the birds chirping or the breeze moving. Hone in your hearing for a minute.

The next thing we’re going to do is focus on what can we feel. It’s something you’re touching. You can feel your hands if you touch them together. You can feel the pants on your legs or shirt on your torso. Feel the shoes on your feet. If you are outside, you would be able to feel a breeze on your face or maybe the sun and the rays on your skin. So, focus for a minute on what you can feel.

So, focus for a minute on what you can taste or if there’s some delicious dish you are craving for or want to eat, give it a taste.

Lastly, focus on what you can smell. Smell the roses upon waking up. Smell the meal that you cooked.
I want to show you or tell you one quick line that you can use to get yourself in the present moment. Realize that right now, the only thing going on right now is this, you saying, “Hey, this is it. This is really it.” or “This is really what’s going on right now and I can’t control the future, I can’t control the past, but the actions I take right now can influence the future.”
This means you can grow on what you did in the past and not live there. You can focus on what’s going on right now to live in the present moment. Say, “This is it,” because when you say, “This is it, this is really reality.” or , “This is really what’s going on right now.”
So by keeping this in mind, always think positively about the moment you are living in. Don’t worry about the past and the future much. This way you could enjoy your life and live in the present moment and this also will affect your health in a very positive way with the passage of time.
